Writing Concepts I (Grades 9-12)

This is a recurring event.
This course will focus on basic writing concepts and the writing process. From analyzing main ideas, topic sentences, coherence, unity and structures in given paragraphs, students will move to creating their own pieces of writing, working with narrative, descriptive, expository, persuasive and compare-and-contrast paragraphs. The course will include rewriting, editing and revising based on instructor feedback. All topics are based on Common Core Curriculum.
